SOMETIMES and Cranky examine how a confused Mercury is destabilizing communication, even for propagandists and billionaires. (Plus a special appearance by astrology cat "The Demon")
Good, dense, also practical stuff. I would ask you to rethink some of your landlord speech. Where I live, we have a long tradition of immigrant families scrimping and saving to invest in one triple-decker as their home, and renting the other two units to family friends and other contacts looking to get established as they arrive from overseas. I own one rental property, which is basically a nicely located shack that I used to live in, and -only to keep it so I can retire there- I now rent it for a third less than the going rate to female graduate students just for the school year. My tenants know me, and I fix everything immediately. I know the kind of landlord you’re really talking about. They are the ones that run the “student housing units“ that my tenants are trying to avoid.
Thank you for listening! Of course there are variations to individual approaches in the current paradigm. But it is the paradigm with which we take issue, if that makes sense, not the individual. I do not believe the title ‘landlord’ should exist - because I believe we can dream of something better than feudalism to meet people’s basic needs. At least I hope so!
